How can Myopia be Treated/Slowed?
One of the ways to slow down the progression of myopia is through Optometry. Our office is proud to be certified in the fitting of MiSight contact lenses, an isolated FDA approved form of Myopia Control Treatment. These are very comfortable soft multifocal contact lenses which help to encourage stability of a prescription. MiSight contact lenses are the only FDA approved form of Myopia Control Treatment.
- Any increases in prescription seen with these lenses are far less as compared to studies of children who opted not to use these lenses.
